Marketing Coordinator

Please note – this is a 6 month contract at 30 hours a week – with the potential to go full time.

We’re an agency in Toronto looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to work with us on a variety of digital media and marketing projects! Ideally you have at least 1-2 years experience and are comfortable working remotely at times. 

We value open communication and shared support, creative ideas and efficient project execution. 

Duties and responsibilities:

Our ideal person would have the majority of these skills in some capacity.

  • WordPress Development –
    • Experience with Divi and WP Bakery or other page builders
  • Design – 
    • Design and develop marketing collateral including digital flyers, print flyers and ads, custom graphics, slide decks, etc. 
  • Content Development –
    • Develop ideas and write content for social, blog posts, email marketing and websites, write communications materials
  • Email Marketing – 
    • Experience using and building email templates with tools such as Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Klayvio
    • Manage and implement online and email marketing initiatives
  • Social Media – 
    • Create graphic and written content for a variety of clients and platforms
    • Monitor online marketing and social media trends and best practices

Skills: 

  • Comfortable working with WordPress, Divi Visual Builder and Squarespace
  • Design skills using, Canva and Adobe Suite (specifically Illustrator)
  • It would be great if you’ve used or have worked with… Asana, Slack and Planable

This internship is partially funded by the Digital Tech Internship Program. To qualify as a candidate you must be:

  • A post-secondary graduate (must have graduated within the past 2 years)
  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person granted refugee status in Canada*
  • Legally allowed to work according to the relevant provincial and Canadian legislation and regulations
  • Available to work for at least six months
  • Not previous participants of a federal youth employment program

*Refugee protection must be conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Persons awaiting refugee status, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, student visa or work visa, are ineligible to participate in a Youth Employment and Skills Strategy initiative.
